Ionuț Claudiu Ștefan – General Director, Diversinst:
"The recognition comes at a time when our activity is expanding. In addition to our headquarters in Craiova, we also have an operational office in Bucharest and a new work point in Constanța. In 2025, we recorded an increase of over 170% in the kilometers of network executed, an 11% rise in the average number of employees, and a significant growth in turnover compared to the previous year. Diversinst will continue to strengthen its profile as a relevant partner in a technical sector where ESG assessments are still limited. Sustainability criteria are becoming increasingly important in commercial relationships, in projects with international partners, and in participation in tenders. The evaluation is also a foundation for future improvements and for expanding the monitoring of ESG performance."
The company calculates its carbon footprint at the product level in accordance with the ISO 14067 standard, applied to the executed works. The analyzed functional unit is 1 km of natural gas distribution network, which allows comparability between projects. Thus, the emission intensity is 0.842 tCO₂e/km, used as an operational performance indicator. The largest share of the impact comes from the supply chain (73%), especially from the materials used in the works. Direct (operational) emissions account for approximately 26% and mainly result from the fuel consumption of the vehicle fleet used for transporting teams and materials.
For the reporting year, Diversinst recorded a waste recycling rate of 85%.
In the governance area, the company supports its management system through formal policies and mechanisms regarding ethics, corruption prevention, occupational health and safety, environmental protection, and information security. Diversinst holds relevant certifications - ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 37001, and RS 20000, and uses international standards to quantify emissions and carbon footprint.
The company has also developed formal mechanisms for dialogue with stakeholders – employees, clients, suppliers, authorities, and the community – and in 2025 carried out its first voluntary sustainability reporting exercise, based on a materiality analysis and consultation and feedback processes integrated into management. At the same time, Diversinst began the ESG evaluation of relevant suppliers, a process that will be gradually expanded. The sustainability report can be accessed here.
